Wind Wizard II is a sloop rig with a 150% genoa on a Harken furler, fully battened main, and she carries a 100% jib and gennaker. She has a masthead rig with stainless rod standing rigging, with a hydraulic controlled back stay. Canvas includes a sail cover, dodger, bimini, and full enclosure, perfect for shoulder season cruising. She includes an inflatable dinghy and davits.
Wind Wizard II has a wing keel and partial-skeg-hung rudder. Her draft is 5'4" and her beam, 11'6". She spent most of her life in the Great Lakes, only coming to the Pacific Coast in 2020, thus the Ontario registration. She had never been in saltwater until then.
Dodger provides good protection for the crew on rough crossings of the Strait of Georgia.
A safe, protected and comfortable cockpit for the crew with good side visibility for the helms person.
The side winches are oversized Harken winches. The steering is Whitlock rack and pinion. The traveler is just forward of the helm allowing mainsheet adjustment by the helmsman or from a cabin-top winch under the dodger.
A new Raymarine wheel pilot installed in 2024. Wind Wizard's helm is very light and when in good trim can easily be handled by the autopilot, even in 25+knots and heavy cross seas.
Windex, speedo, depth and autopilot instruments. The latter enables a solo sailor to fully operate the boat from behind the dodger.
Pristine gennaker includes sock and sheets, with an open clutch available for the tack downhaul.
Windlass is positioned within the large chain locker featuring both foot controls as well as a control from the helm.
